The hatch of the cryo-capsule opened with a great hiss of condensed nitrozone gas. It's inhabitant, a tall man clad in allied forces power armour pushed the hatch to widen the exit, whilst struggling to move around the unpowered armour.
"Something is wrong, I don't hear any explosions, gunfire nor screaming." Burke thought to himself before finally completely opening the hatch. "What the fuck?" the he audibly muttered to himself, astonished as to what he saw; a great lush jungle with strange animal noises resonating from every direction. Times were dark; I thought to myself as I stood right in front of the shady derelict building, covered in moss and vines. I knew that it would be a one way ticket once I knock on the two giant metal gates that barred the establishment, but I knew for sure, if I turn back, it will be back to filling out half-fulfilled resume forms in vain attempts to find a meagre living in mundane work.
Taking a huge gulp and hoping for best, I knocked on the door, fists clenched and eyes closed. There was no reaction for a while and I thought the establishment might be vacant but before I could turn back, echoed footsteps could be hear
Yume woke up, she wished it were a dream, but as she stared at her own hands, she realised it wasn’t.
Her pristine silky hands were now twice the size they used to be as she looked at her mirror and hoped to see the young bubbly girl she once was but now, a grown teenagerwith a short red spiky bob hair and green eyes appeared in the mirror.
It wasn’t a pretty farmhouse anymore, but an apartment in a towering building, sprawling with insects everywhere with stenches filling up the corridors of the building; her family were evicted from their farm to make way for factories.

Mina levered her smart-phone to her face as she tried to fiddle with the applications on it, only to complicate herself with the strange interface of the device. She tried to reach the mailbox of the machine but was unable to navigate herself to it as she cursed to herself. She then pulled out a piece of paper on her pockets which she scribbled some directions on it but vulgarly cursed to herself again as she remembered that some of the writings on it had faded away.
